Strongsville Police Blotter: Suspicious 'Splotch' in Road; Man Uses Hydrant to Water Grass; No Fun on Party Bus

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A Hickory Branch Trail man was questioned Aug. 28 after he was seen watering his lawn from a fire hydrant.

The man explained that the hydrant was left running and he didn't want to waste the water, so he hooked up his sprinkler.

He said he had called the Service Department about the leak and was told workers may have left the hydrant on -- and their tools there -- by mistake when they were working on sewers.
