Strongsville Police Blotter: Ulta Stores Here, Elsewhere Hit by Shoplifting Pros

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A trio of shoplifters reportedly went into , 16640 Royalton Rd., Thursday afternoon, grabbed merchandise and fled.

An employee told police the three women have targeted Ulta locations, including the Strongsville store, before.

A report said one woman came into the store about 8:30 p.m. and distracted the clerk. Two more than entered and grabbed all the merchandise from a shelf.

The theft is reportedly on video.

Vehicles in at least three driveways on Pinewood Drive and White Bark Drive here targeted Tuesday night.

Five e-cigarettes worth $100 apiece were taken from an unlocked car on Pinewood. At another house, the stereo was taken from the car.

On White Bark, unspecified items were taken from multiple cars as one house.

More Bike Issues in Hunting Meadows

Three bicycles taken in a spree of garage burglaries in Hunting Meadows last weekend were found at a West 130th business Sept. 19.

The next day, a Deer Path Drive resident reported that on Sept. 18, someone took a 20-year-old bicycle from her garage and left a newer 21-speed model in its place.

That bike was returned to a Drake Road resident who reported it stolen Sunday, Sept. 18.

Theft from High School

An iPod and cell phone were stolen from a student's backpack in the gym at Strongsville High School Sept. 19.

Scary Situation

A teenager returned to her Beech Circle home to find the door to the house open Sept. 19.

Police walked through the house and found nothing amiss. A report said it appears someone just forgot to close the door between the house and garage.
