Strongsville Police Blotter: Witness Says Man Hit Daughter, But Video Captures the Truth

Reports from Feb. 21-24

Police were called to Feb. 23 after a witness reported seeing a man hit his young daughter.

But a video camera had a better view of the incident than the witness, a report said.

Police reviewed the tape and saw that while the father loaded another child in the van, the girl hit the auto switch on the van door and almost got pinched. The dad ran around the vehicle to pull her out of the way and spanked her for playing with the buttons.
