Strongsville Police Blotter: Woman Alarmed by Dead Animal on Porch

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A West Bend Drive woman called police at 3:30 a.m. Aug. 18 to say there was a dead cat -- possibly beheaded -- on her front porch.

The woman said she was afraid to go out and look.

Police discovered the animal was a fox that appeared to have been hit by a car. It was not known who put the animal on the woman's porch.

Officers bagged the fox and put it on the curb to be picked up by the Service Department.

Roadside Nap in a Bathrobe

Police were called to Webster Road about 3 a.m. Aug. 17 after someone noticed a woman in a bathrobe lying on the ground by a mailbox.

She appeared to be sleeping when officers arrived. She went in the house, where she was checked by paramedics. Nothing appeared to be wrong, a report said.

Woman Approaches Cars

A woman in a tight gold bodysuit was walking up to cars at the intersection of Pearl and Whitney roads about 8:15 p.m. Aug. 16, an anonymous caller reported.

The caller said she had seen the woman in revealing clothing before, but it was the first time she'd seen her approaching cars.

Police advised the bodysuit-wearing woman of the complaint. She agreed to leave the area.

Theft from Rec Center

A man reported his car keys and cell phone were stolen while he was at the about 7 p.m. Aug. 16.

Mischief

Someone rang a Bonnie Lane man's doorbell twice about 11:30 p.m. Aug. 17 and smeared yogurt on the doorknob, a report said.

Cat Starts Controversy, Sort Of

A man told police employees at a Sprague Road convenience store called him names after his cat strayed into the lot Aug. 17.

But the employees said the man came over and yelled at a woman who was petting the cat, making her cry. He also accused the employees of being drug dealers.

The man was banned from the store.
