A third vehicle on Collier Drive was targeted by an arsonist early March 13, police have learned.
Two residents about 1:30 a.m.
But on Friday, it was discovered that a third vehicle was set on fire that same night. Detective Lt. John Janowski said a man reported Friday that he had found his truck's interior burned the morning of March 13, but had believed it was an electrical fire.
It wasn't until he was having it towed from his driveway Friday that a neighbor told him about the other car fires earlier in the week and he realized he, too, had been the victim of the arsonist.
Janowski said he could not comment on the on-going investigation.
One of the victims told Strongsville Patch he about 1:30 a.m. and looked outside to see it was on fire.
When firefighters arrived, another car fire was discovered about eight houses down.
Janowski said police do not believe the cars were targeted for any reason other than they were unlocked.
