Woman Looking for 'Marilyn with the White Dog:' Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Strongsville Police Department

A resident on Corinth Court called police July 26 after a woman came to the door asking for Marilyn with the white dog.

No one on the street fits that description, the resident said.

He asked police to check it out, fearing it was a scam and someone might be victimized.

Police checked the street and nearby locations, but couldn't locate the woman.

Theft from Car

A checkbook, keys and the console tray were stolen from a vehicle in a driveway on Burlwood Drive the night of July 25.

The car was unlocked, a report said.

Jewelry Left in Cart

A shopper at Costco unloaded her groceries into her car about 5 p.m. July 25 and started to leave, then remembered she'd left $250 worth of jewelry in a bag in the cart.

She ran back into the store and found the cart where she'd left it, but the jewelry was already gone, a report said.

Fowl are Fair

Someone asked police to to check on a goose with an injured wing on Pearl Road July 26.

An officer went by and said all the geese appeared to be alive and well.
