Woman Says She's Meeting Jesus in Parking Lot: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Strongsville Police Department

A manager at Giant Eagle called police about 2 a.m. July 9 to report a woman who had been in the parking lot for hours, pacing back and forth outside her car.

The woman was giving employees a hard time, a report said, and waving at anyone who looked at her.

The woman told officers she was there to meet her friend, Jesus. She was advised she could meet him at home.

The next day, employees at a Pearl Road business called police about a woman who was yelling and ranting, claiming to be Jesus' wife.

Officers found the woman was upset, but they were able to calm her down.

Police sent her on her way, noting she did not seem to be a danger to herself or others.

Car Break-Ins

Two cars on Potomac Drive were entered the night of July 10.

A small handbag containing keys was taken from one vehicle. A GPS was removed from another.

Both were unlocked.

On Rabbit Run, a car alarm went off just after midnight July 11. Police said it appears someone was pulling on door handles, looking for unlocked vehicles.

No Do for Doggie

Police were called to a salon at Royalton and Prospect roads after a customer refused to leave with her service dog.

The owner said animals weren't allowed inside, including service dogs, because they need to provide a sterile environment.

The customer argued that it was against the law to ask her to leave because of her dog.

Police said a business owner has the right to ask anyone he wants to leave his store. She finally left without any charges filed.

Theft from Yard

A plastic chair was stolen from the front yard of a Woodleaf Road home the night of July 8.

It was worth $15.
