Woman Worries She's Being Taped, But Guy has Reason: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Strongsville Police Department

A woman contacted police about 5:30 p.m. Aug. 14, complaining that a man in a truck was filming her on Lunn Road.

The woman pulled into the police department parking lot to file her complaint.

Meanwhile, the man doing the filming called police to say he had been following a car on Lunn Road that was being driven recklessly, passing a number of cars and semis despite a double yellow line.

He gave police the woman's license number and yes, it was the woman who'd pulled in.

Police warned the woman about her driving habits.

Hydrant Damage

A vehicle sheared off a fire hydrant on Stafford Drive the night of Aug. 17.

There were no skid marks or vehicle debris, indicating whoever hit it stopped to pick up any pieces he'd lost.

Burglary

A Mill Hollow Lane resident returned home about 6 p.m. Aug. 15 and found the back door open.

Inside, it looked like someone had gone through doors.

Unusual Median Story

A motorist called police about 10:15 p.m. Aug. 15 to say his wife was highly intoxicated, had gotten out of the car on I-71 and was lying in the grass.

She had also tried to walk into traffic, he said.

A number of other people also called about the woman.

A passerby stopped and pulled her out of the roadway, a report said. Police apprehended her and charged her with disorderly conduct.
