'Woodstock' Comes to Strongsville; Odd Shortcut: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Strongsville Police Department

An anonymous caller asked police to check on a party on Moss Point Road Aug. 24, saying the music was so loud "it sounds like Woodstock re-enacted," a report said.

Police arrived at the house shortly before 11 p.m. to find the family was having a karaoke party.

Officers advised the residents to turn it down, and they agreed.

Really?

A Fallingwater Road resident watched as a young man driving a tan Chevy pulled into the driveway, then actually drove around to the back of the house and left heading south toward Royalton Road.

Police couldn't locate the vehicle in the area. The incident took place about 9 a.m. Aug. 23.

Trespassing

A neighbor saw kids going into a foreclosed house on Pheasant Trail about 8 p.m. Aug. 25 and called police.

The witness said the same thing had happened the day before.

Police found the intruders had gotten in through the back slider and were still in the kitchen. Both were apprehended and taken to the police station for charges.

More Trespassing

A man was seen using a metal detector and digging at Surrarrer School Aug. 24, a report said.

The man was warned he was trespassing and left.
