10 Homes in Foreclosure Going to Sheriff's Sale in August

More than 160 properties have been auctioned since last August

Ten Strongsville homes in foreclosure are scheduled to go to sheriff's sale in August, according to the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's website.

In July, 10 homes were sold at auction. Four were withdrawn from sale list by orders of the court.

Some properties may be added or deleted during August.

Building Commissioner Tony Biondillo said inspectors check each foreclosed home every three months, and make special weekly visits in the summer to be sure the grass is being mowed.

If not, the city does it and bills the owner.

"We physically inspect every one of these properties quarterly," Biondillo said.

All the houses on the August list are described as single-frame dwellings with attached two-car garages:

Aug. 6 -- 18652 Bonnie Lane, appraised value $95,000; minimum bid $63,334

Aug. 13 -- 18027 North Inlet Drive, appraised value $100,000; minimum bid $66,667

Aug. 13 -- 16769 Walnut Creek, appraised value $125,000; minimum bid $83,334

Aug. 20 -- 19520 Spinnaker Circle, appraised value $150,000; minimum bid $100,000

Aug. 20 -- 19382 Boston Rd., appraised value $80,000; minimum bid $53,334

Aug. 20 --13233 Harper Rd., appraised value $80,000; minimum bid $53,334

Aug. 27 -- 13417 Hollo Oval, appraised value $165,000; minimum bid $110,000

Aug. 27 -- 20787 Royalton Rd., appraised value $140,000; minimum bid $93,334.

Also, a brick building with parking at 17999 Foltz Parkway will go to auction on Aug. 27. Appraised value is $2.9 million; minimum bid is $1,933,334.

I agree with tom m. It is not "user friendly" at all! The whole setup and search isRead More terrible. This new format should be thrown out and the old one put back in place. A look at other Patch editions out of state also have very little comments now. I would much prefer the old Patch, but now a better alternative by far to this new Patch is any of these: http://www.strongsville.com/ and http://www.thepostnewspapers.com/strongsville/ and http://www.cleveland.com/strongsville/ and http://hometownindependent.com/strongsville/
