13 Homes in Foreclosure Going to Sheriff's Sale in July

Thirteen Strongsville homes in foreclosure are scheduled to go to sheriff's sale in July, according to the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's website.

In June, five homes were sold at auction. Six were withdrawn from sale list by orders of the court and one was withdrawn due to bankruptcy. One house went to sheriff's sale but got no bids.

According to the site, 154 properties have gone to sheriff's sale in the last year.

Some properties may be added or deleted during July.

Building Commissioner Tony Biondillo said inspectors check each foreclosed home every three months, and make special weekly visits in the summer to be sure the grass is being mowed.

If not, the city does it and bills the owner.

"We physically inspect every one of these properties quarterly," Biondillo said.

All the houses on the July list are described as single-frame dwellings with attached two-car garages:
