$4.7 Million Project Will Upgrade All Traffic Signals in Strongsville

City receives grant to pay for majority of work

A citywide project will upgrade every traffic signal in Strongsville, Mayor Tom Perciak said.

Perciak said Strongsville has received a $3,437,280 grant from the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency for the project.

The city's share of the $4.7 million job will be about $1.3 million.

The project will upgrade the computerized timing and synchronization of all 55 intersections regulated by signals to improve traffic flow, the mayor said.

Engineering for the work will start next year.
