Nine Strongsville homes in foreclosure are scheduled to go to sheriff's sale in September, according to the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's website.
In August, five homes were sold at auction. One property received no bids, and seven were withdrawn from the sale list by orders of the court.
Some properties may be added to or deleted from this list during September.
Building Commissioner Tony Biondillo said inspectors check each foreclosed home every three months, and make special weekly visits in the summer to be sure the grass is being mowed.
If not, the city does it and bills the owner.
"We physically inspect every one of these properties quarterly," Biondillo said.
The homes on the September list are described as single-frame dwellings with attached garages. At least two are brick, and two -- on Donegal and Country way -- have three-car garages.
