Free Health Screenings at Mall for World Kidney Day

Event March 14 aims to raise awareness of disease

 

The Kidney Foundation of Ohio will host World Kidney Day at SouthPark Mall on Thursday, March 14.

The event will include free blood pressure and blood glucose screenings, information on kidney disease and related disorders, and local hospitals and health organizations will be on hand for questions.

The goal of World Kidney Day is to promote kidney health and bring awareness to chronic kidney disease, which affects one in nine adults in the United States.

Everyone screened at SouthPark Mall will be entered into a drawing to receive an 'Around Town' package that includes gift cards to local stores and restaurants valued at more than $250.

Other free health screening locations include: Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, Great Hall, 9500 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland 44195, blood pressure screenings, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; MetroHealth Medical Center, 2500 Metrohealth Drive, Cleveland 44109, blood pressure screenings, 11 a.m.-1:30pm.
