Interviews Set for New Fire Chief

Mayor to choose from three candidates to replace Bob Moody

Mayor Tom Perciak is expected to interview three candidates on Friday to replace newly .

Set to be interviewed are Assistant Chief Jeff Branic, Capt. Kevin Bakley and Lt. Harry Drennan.

The three were the top scorers on a civil service test. Under the city's charter, the top three finishers on the test will be considered for fire chief, but the mayor can choose any of the three for the post.

Moody retired April 8 after 33 years with the Strongsville Fire Department.

Branic said an interim fire chief has not been named, with the department's officers currently sharing the chief's duties.
