News of the Week: Work Stops at Giant Eagle Site; Schools Sued; City Puts Levy on Ballot

Here's what's been going on in Strongsville

A wrap-up of the week's top stories:

Giant Eagle progress -- The parking lot is in, but construction has not yet started on the new Market District store on Pearl Road. 

Homecoming to start -- The annual Strongsville Homecoming gets under way next week with a parade, music and rides.

Levy on ballot -- The city will ask voters to replace a levy that's been collected since 1976.

School district fights lawsuit -- The Cleveland Teachers Union has filed suit to force Strongsville school officials to release names and other information about substitutes who worked here during the teachers strike.

Get Go Going -- Giant Eagle's other project, a gas station at Drake and Pearl, is under way.
