No More Carrying Your Toboggan at Chalet

Metroparks unveils new lift that will haul your sled to the top of the hill

Cleveland Metroparks Chalet Toboggan Chutes have a new addition -- a long-awaited toboggan lift.

The lift will use a 12 horse-power motor and cable system to mechanically pull the toboggans on a tow 150 feet up the hill to a receiving deck where they will be stored.

Cleveland Metroparks staff will load and unload the toboggans. Riders will be able just walk up the steps to the top of the chutes, without lugging their toboggans with them.

The chutes open Friday, Nov. 23, with special opening day hours from noon to 10:30 p.m., weather permitting.
