Dovilla and Patten to Vie in November

Both advance to general election

No independent candidates have filed to run for the Seventh District Ohio House of Representatives seat, meaning incumbent Mike Dovilla and challenger Matt Patten will face off in a two-way race in November.

Dovilla, unopposed in Tuesday's Republican primary, received 7,561 votes, according to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.

Democrat Patten, also unopposed Tuesday, garnered 6,924, the unofficial tally shows.
