Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan touted Mitt Romney's five-point plan for the future and said President Barack Obama has offered no similar vision during a campaign stop at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea Wednesday.
Ryan told a crowd of about 1,000 that the President failed to provide a solid plan for the next four years during the second Presidential debate Tuesday night, Cleveland.com is reporting.
“We saw the president not offer a single idea or lesson learned from the failure of the last four years,” said Ryan, the running mate of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
In contrast, Ryan said Romney's five-point plan for developing small businesses and producing energy in North America offers specifics the Republicans would use to govern.
He drew cheers when he talked about Romney's performance in the debate.
“Didn’t Mitt Romney do a great job for us last night?” The Washington Post reported on its blog.
Former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who made her first appearance on behalf of the Romney campaign, directed several of her comments to the women in the crowd, according to WKYC.com.
"So many women in these hard economic times don't know if they will ever work again. Americans are feeling terrible economic pain," Rice said.
This marked Ryan's third visit to northeast Ohio in as many months on behalf of GOP candidate Mitt Romney. He spoke at Walsh University in North Canton on Aug. 16 and in Westlake on Sept. 4.
Romney was in Brunswick for a pancake breakfast in June, visited Bedford Heights in September and made a campaign stop in Cuyahoga Falls Oct. 9.
Both Ryan and Rice were expected to visit the Cleveland Browns' nearby practice facility in Berea after the rally.

Romney opposed the Lily Ledbetter Act He supports the Blunt Amendment that would deny contraception coverage for women. He suuprots a “personhood” constitutional amendment that would define “life” as beginning at contraception, and may be used to make abortion illegal. Romney lied and said at the latest debate that he looked for "binders of women" profiles to find women to hire as governor, but Associated Press uncovered that false statement. Romney would destroy medicare, support the 1 percent, hurt women, and kill the middle class. That's going backwards, not forwards.
comment is still spam
They will be less likely to hire females. That is right, fewer females will be hired. Besides that, the entire premise of the act is flawed. When you normalize the salary data between men and women, women make more. This is political junk. As a business owner I can tell you that I will hire the person (regardless of gender or race) who can do the job the best and impact the bottom line. I will pay them what they are worth, and not a penny more. They have the option to work for me, or to go elsewhere.
(aka mark peterson, aka joseph robert, aka...?) this is fun, like watching a crime being solved
aka mark peterson aka joseph robert aka ...? must be a campaign worker
I would prefer the Federal Government refrain from getting involved in "health issues" either male of female all together. I also find it amusing that you think Romney is out to hurt women. "Women's issues" should be near the bottom of concerns for the federal government at this moment in our history. Besides Jean, I thought men and women are supposed to be treated the same. I thought we were all equal, you know, after the women's liberation movement and all. If that is the case, why would you need any special care, or have any special issues? Why do you need the federal government to deal with your issues?
Pay for your own contraception. It is not that expensive. Think about it for a moment please, you are mad that the federal government will not pay for your contraception! Seriously, there have to be larger issues than that. When does life begin? Did Romney have more women in his cabinet than other states or not? I have seen Romney's plans to destroy Medicare, they are scary. He is running for president to only help the 1%, to hell with the rest of you. He really, really, really hates women. He would lock you all up if he could. I also overheard his plan to "kill the middle class" but thankfully Obama has done that for him so he can focus all his hate on women. Fear monger much?
“Governor Romney’s argument is ‘we’re not fixed, so fire him and put me in,’” Clinton said. “It is true, we’re not fixed.” Clinton went on to say that he thought Obama was going to cry during the second Presidential debate, because “he knows that it’s not fixed.”
