Pearl Road Building Razed, New One on the Way

Project is one of several in Strongsville this summer

A  on Pearl Road has been razed and the owner plans to construct a new building on the site.

Potential tenants in the new building have not been announced, but Economic Development Manager Brent Painter said the owner has "some good interest" in the site.

The building, which used to house Page One Realty and Subway, was one of the oldest retail centers in the city. It is just south of Royalton Road, across from.

The attached building housing  has a different owner and remains standing.

The rebuilding won't start right away, though. Painter said there is some asbestos in the walls that will require special cleanup.

 has moved a few blocks south to a new building at 14904 Pearl Rd. 

The project is one of several retail ventures in Strongsville this summer. is building a three-tenant plaza on the other side of Pearl Road, next to Pizza Hut, that will include Dunkin' Donuts and Malley's Chocolates. 

A developer is actively seeking tenants for the  at the corner of Pearl and Whitney roads.

Work is progressing at the site of the new  at the corner of Prospect and Royalton roads.

New tenants are slated for theincluding Elevated Fitness and a Japanese restaurant.

In addition,is looking for sites in Strongsville for a free-standing ice cream parlor.
