Photo of the Day: Betty Sutton Hosts Benefits Workshop at VFW

U.S. Rep. Betty Sutton told a group of veterans at the  today that they deserve to have access to any benefits available to them.

"We need to keep the bargain the American people make with the people who risk it all," Sutton told a group of about 60 veterans.

Sutton, D-13, who has earned a reputation as a staunch supporter of veterans' rights, told the crowd her father was a tailgunner on a B29 bomber during World War II.

She brought with her staff from her own office and representatives from the Department of Veterans Affairs to meet individually with men and women about services the VA has available for local veterans, access to benefits and veteran-related legislation in Congress.
