It's not known yet whether the rec center will re-open after the rally, which is scheduled to end at 7 p.m. Bogre said a decision will be made at that time, depending on circumstances.

The Event Center holds up to 1,200 people, but Bogre said a stage and some bleachers will take up some of that room.

Strongsville Patch will be publishing live tweets from the event.

Non-perishable food items will be collected at the door for donation to Hurricane Sandy’s storm relief efforts.

Be prepared to go through airport-like security. Guests are asked to bring as few personal items as possible. No bags, sharp objects, umbrellas, liquids or signs will be allowed in the venue. Cameras are permitted.
