Recycling Getting Easier in Strongsville

New bins for cardboard and other items will be set up around town

The city is expanding its cardboard recycling program with new drop-off bins to collect everything from junk mail to phone books.

Jennifer Milbrandt, coordinator of natural resources, said the city will work with River Valley Recycling to place new collection bins at various spots around town.

The new bins will accept newspapers, catalogs, office paper, mail, phone books, cardboard, brown bags, and hard- and soft- bound books.

Locations of all recycling bins will be will be:

Fire Station No. 1, 11297 Webster Rd. -- 1 paper bin

Fire Station No. 2, 15939 Drake Rd. -- 1 paper bin

Fire Station No. 3, 22000 Albion Rd. -- 1 paper bin, 1 cardboard bin

Fire Station No. 4, 17000 Prospect Rd. -- 1 paper bin

Surrarrer Park, 14625 Whitney Road (at Webster) -- 1 paper bin, 1 cardboard bin

Jim Nichols Field, 22707 Sprague Rd. -- 1 paper bin, 1 cardboard bin

Strongsville Service Center, 16099 Foltz Parkway -- 2 paper bins, 2 cardboard bins

Communication Center, 13213 Pearl Rd. (gravel lot behind building) -- 4 paper bins, 4 cardboard bins.
