Shred Papers Free on Saturday

City will host event June 9 at City Hall on Foltz Parkway

The city will shred residents' confidential documents -- free of charge -- from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 9 at , 16099 Foltz Parkway.

Proof of residency will be required.

It will be a drive-through event, with vehicles lining up and volunteers helping unload and dump bins into the shredder.

Small paper clips and staples can still be attached to the papers.

Acceptable items include ledger paper, copy machine paper, adding machine tapes, booklets, ads, greeting cards, manila file folders, legal pad paper, sticky notes, receipts and colored paper.

Not accepted: phone books, newspapers, magazines, binders, photos, food or candy wrappers, waxed paper, napkins, styrofoam containers, pendaflex folders.
