Toboggan Chutes Have Special Events in January

$1 hot dogs, Hawaiian shirt night and more

 

The Chalet Toboggan Chutes will have several special promotions during January:  

Jan. 11: Aloha! Wear a Hawaiian shirt and save $2

Jan. 13: CSU Vikings Street Team

Jan. 18: Dollar Day - $1 hot dogs and $1 sodas

Jan. 21: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - open noon to 5 p.m.

Jan. 25: Mug giveaway

Jan. 27: CSU Vikings Street Team

All Thursdays:

From Jan. 10 - Feb. 28:  Student I.D. Night - All Students with a valid I.D. pay $7.

The Chalet this year features a new toboggan lift that lets riders skip the hard work and totes the toboggans to the top of the hill for them.

The chutes operate with or without snow. 

Tobogganing hours for this season are:

 Thursdays: 6 to 10 p.m. (January, February and March)                     

Fridays: 6 to 10:30 p.m.                 

Saturdays: noon to 10:30 p.m.                          

Sundays: noon to 5 p.m.

Daily admission is $10 for adults and $8 for kids 11 and under. One-time ride tickets are available for $4.

Personal toboggans are not allowed at the facility.  All riders must wear gloves or mittens.  Children must be at least 42 inches tall to ride, and must be accompanied by an adult.

The Chalet Recreation Area is at 16200 Valley Parkway in Mill Stream Run Reservation, between Routes 42 and 82 in Strongsville.
