Don't Forget: Tree Lighting is Tonight at City Commons

Mayor promises some new twists to celebration this year

The annual tree lighting ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. today, officially kicking off the holiday season in Strongsville.

Mayor Tom Perciak said he will , as he does every year the day after Thanksgiving.

This year, has arranged for Santa to arrive in town in a new and surprising way, Perciak said.

There will also be live reindeer, ice carving, horse-drawn sleigh rides and other fun at .

"If the weather permits, we may just have a little bit of the Fourth of July there," Perciak said.
