Candidate Statement: I am running for Strongsville city council because I see a bright future for Strongsville, a future that includes strong schools, accessible public services, flourishing local businesses and a livable safe place to raise our families. I believe in Strongsville and I am optimistic about our future.

I believe that quality schools and low crime are the two most important elements of a strong community, and I want to be part of the effort to ensure we have both in Strongsville.

I believe in being the kind of leader that the residents of Strongsville want to work with, and I am committed to working proactively to engage them in the important issues facing them in our community.

I have great pride in our community, and want to foster that same pride in others. Strongsville is the place I’ve called home since I was 5 years old, and it’s the place I’ve chosen to raise my own family.

I have had the pleasure of knowing so many of Strongsville’s residents, business leaders and public officials over my LIFETIME as a resident. I understand the needs of the community and the hope and dreams our residents have for the future.

I have demonstrated the ability to unite people in a common effort from local officials and business owners to residents and service personnel.  Together we will bring about positive change in our community.

I have the energy, vision, values and relationships that are needed to make things happen in Strongsville. I want to put all of those to work serving the residents of Strongsville.

The following are issues I would like to work on when I take office:

1)   Upholding high standards for property maintenance not just to homeowners but also restaurants and companies in Ward Three

2)   Taking the lead on beautification, redevelopment and rezoning of businesses along Prospect and Pear Road.

3)   Seeking solutions to reduce traffic on Pearl Road

4)   Creating an optional “Are You OK" programs for seniors.

5)   Create a  program called S.T.O.P.--  Safe Traffic Oriented Policing.  This traffic program would be in addition to regular patrol to assure our highways are safe, respond to your traffic complaints in your neighborhood and assure our city remains one of the safest in the Greater Cleveland area.

Listed above are the reasons why I would like to represent Strongsville, and why I feel I am the best candidate for the Ward 3 Councilman position.
