2011 Strongsville Schools Retirees Honored
Scores of employees congratulated at event at rec center
Soon-to-be-retired administrators, teachers, secretaries, bus drivers, cooks and custodians gathered at May 19 to say good-bye and to celebrate their many years of service to the district.
Assistant Superintendent John Krupinski took the podium at the beginning of the school board meeting to individually congratulate and honor the scores of retirees in attendance.
"We offer our sincere appreciation to all retiring staff members," he said. "They have devoted many years of significant service to our students, our district and our community. Each employee honored tonight has demonstrated a common committment to a mission of value, service and student achievement.

"Vince Lombardi, the legendary football coach, once said, 'The quality of a person's life is in direct proportion to their committment to excellence.' Regardless of the chosen field of endeavor. Each of you, as retirees, have made that committment - to strive for excellence."
