6 Will Vie for 3 School Board Seats

Field includes two incumbents seeking new terms

Six people will compete for three seats on the Strongsville Board of Education this November.

Incumbents Ruth Brickley and Carl Naso have said they will seek another term on the School Board. Naso was appointed to the school board earlier this year.

Also filing petitions was Richard Micko, a local school activist who ran unsuccessfully for the board in 2009.

The field will also include three political newcomers. John Pietrasz, who grew up in Strongsville; Greg Scott, a 2011 graduate of Strongsville High School; and Ronald Schroth Jr., a long-time teacher who has worked as a substitute in Strongsville, will make their first bids for elected office.

Three seats are up for election this year -- those held by Brickley, Naso and Dave Gusman.
