Public Invited to See New Middle School Plans

Strongsville School Board will host meeting Sept. 17 to unveil design

The Strongsville School Board will unveil the concept drawings for the new middle school at a community meeting Sept. 17.

The session starts at 7 p.m. at Muraski Elementary School, 20270 Royalton Rd.

The purpose of this meeting will be to present the concept drawings for the new middle school and to answer questions about the process.

The $46 million middle school will be built on the site of the existing Center Middle School. All the district's 6th, 7th and 8th-graders will attend the new school; Albion Middle School will close.

It's part of a massive district-wide renovation plan funded by an $81 million voter-approved bond issue that also includes major improvements at Strongsville High School, repairs at elementary buildings, expansion of the preschool, new roofs and pavement at the bus garage and the demolition of the former Allen School.
