School Officials to Debate Next Step for Levy

Special board meeting set for Tuesday

The Strongsville School Board has set a special meeting for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22 to talk about the next step for a 6-mill renewal levy.

Board members met in regular session last night, but did not discuss the levy, which was Nov. 8.

About 53 percent of voters cast ballots against the renewal.

Board members have already said they will , probably in March.

But still to be decided is whether to put a time limit on the issue. Board President Jennifer Sinisgalli said she believes the fact that Issue 15 was a continuing levy -- to be collected indefinitely -- caused many people to vote against it.
