School District Hires New Assistant Superintendent

Former principal here tapped to replace Krupinski when he becomes superintendent

The Strongsville City Schools have hired Cameron Ryba to be the next assistant superintendent.

Ryba, who was formerly the principal at and and a assistant principal at , will take over the spot that will be vacated when .

Ryba on Friday resigned his position as principal of Copley High School.

Krupinski could not be reached for comment on Tuesday. School Board member Ruth Brickley said the board is not part of the hiring process for an assistant superintendent. 

According to a letter sent out by the Copley-Fairlawn district, Ryba said, "Although I am excited about the new challenges and opportunities this position will bring, it is difficult to leave such a wonderful school and community."

"In the time we have shared together, a great deal has been accomplished, building on the excellent tradition of this school ... Throughout the transitional period this summer, I will continue to work closely with CHS staff and the new principal to ensure that a smooth start to the new school year occurs," he wrote.
