U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown to Rally on Behalf of Strongsville Teachers

SEA will also make announcement about future contract negotiations

 

U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown is slated to speak at a rally in support of the Strongsville Education Association at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 at the City Commons, at the corner of Pearl and Royalton roads.

Also, SEA President Tracy Linscott said she will make a formal announcement regarding future negotiations with the Strongsville Board of Education.

The rally comes as the SEA, which represents 383 teachers and other school employees, enters its fifth week of a strike.

North Eastern Ohio Education Association President Mary Alice Conkey will also speak at the rally.

Brown has supported collective bargaining rights and public education.
