Strongsville Rotary Hosts Predict-Your-Time Run May 21

No need to go fast to win this race

The third annual Rotary Club of Strongsville RUN4FUN will be Saturday, May 21.

The race starts and finishes at  Pathways Church, located at the corner of Prospect and Drake roads (the old Strongsville rec center). The race will begin at 5:30 p.m., with registration starting at 4:15 p.m.

Pre-registration fee is $20 and registration at the event is $25.  Pre-registered participants will receive a custom T-shirt, refreshments and goodie bag.  And "after run party" will take place at , 13169 Prospect Rd.

This is a "Predict Your Time" 5K (3.1 mile) run or walk, so no electronic devices, like iPods, heart monitors, cell phones, watches or GPS units are allowed.  

Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age bracket who are closest to their predicted time. In addition to awards, there will be more than 100 prizes randomly given to participants.

Registration is either by mail or online directly with Hermes via its website. Click on the Road Racing screen, then click on schedule of events and choose May 21, 2011.   

This year, the Rotary will use the proceeds to support Boys Hope Girls Hope with the funds that are raised.  The agency provides value-centered, family-like homes, opportunities, and education to children in need from middle school through college.
