Whiz Kids: The Strongsville Shooterz

Sixth-grade basketball team has undefeated season, wins championship

Patch Whiz Team of the Week: 

○      Name: Strongsville Shooterz

○      Accomplishment: The Shooterz have become one of the most competitive and successful sixth-grade basketball teams in Northeast Ohio.  Having played in a variety of tournament and leagues, the Shooterz overall are 61-6 and average 44 points per game while only giving up 19.  To top off a great year, the boys just turned in a perfect season (13-0) winning the North East Ohio Youth Basketball League (NEOYBL).  After going 10-0 in regular season play, the Shooterz swept the year-end tournament, beating some of the best teams in the area; Stow (52-22), Medina (45-37) and Shaker Hts (36-34).  To learn more, visit the Shooterz website.

○      Key to Awesomeness: The boys initially came together with the goal of making their Junior High team, but are also focused on loyalty, hard work, character, friendship and being thankful for the gifts they receive from God at each practice and game.
