Rib Burnoff Starts Today on Commons

Three-day event features food, music and fun

The Stronsville City Club's annual Rib Burnoff opens at 4 p.m. today and runs through Saturday on the Commons.

The event features entertainment, inflatables for kids and plenty of tasty treats, including ribs from nine "prime ribbers." 

Hours are 4-11 p.m. on Thursday, June 23; 3-11 p.m. Friday, June 24; and noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday, June 25.

Admission is $2 for adults, free for kids 10 and under. Arrive between noon and 3 p.m. June 25 and get in free. There will be free parking and a shuttle to the event from 5-10:30 p.m. each day.

Returning this year will be last year's award winners: Cowboys, which won first place in Judges' Choice; and Old Carolina Barbecue Co., which won People's Choice.

Entertainment is set for all three nights from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Headliners are Midnight Groove on Thursday, Funkology on Friday and Under the Radar on Saturday.

More than 20,000 people are expected at the three-day event, which is the major fundraiser for theStrongsville City Club.
