1. Rec Center closed for repairs — The Ehrnfelt Recreation and Senior Center will be closed Aug. 26-28 for annual maintenance.
2. Rec Center closed again — The facility will also be closed Monday, Sept. 1 for Labor Day.
3. Library closed, too — The Strongsville Library will take three days off for Labor Day. It will be closed from Saturday, Aug. 30 through Monday, Sept. 1 and reopen at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2.
4. Meet the author — Gregg Hurwitz, who has written 13 books, including The Survivor and Tell No Lies, as well as comic books and screenplays, will be at the Strongsville Library at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28.
5. Dick Goddard will be here — SouthPark Mall will host the Active Senior Expo from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28. The event will include an appearance by the Fox 8 meteorologist, bingo and breakfast, a fashion show and a polka party.
