No, Igor: If it comes out of their mouths it is the truth. You on the other hand have to proveRead More everything you say. At least that's the way it seemed when I last did jury duty. Hypocrisy.
Igor July 4, 2014 at 06:27 pm
Last time I had jury duty, the judge giving the instructions told us that when listening toRead More testimony, the police testimony holds no more credence than the average citizen. If you fight a ticket, guess who the judge is going to believe?

My point exactly.
George Soros was the impetus behind the founding of the Democratic Alliance, reports Watchdog.org.

voice--you have never heard of quantitative easing yet you call other people idiots? Other peopleRead More lost? Look it up--then claim that you are an expert on it or something. hahah... gotta love these dolts who simply regurgitate "that's fox news" as though its gotta be false. Talk about brainwashed programmed dopes. Voice you are out of it.

According to William A. Niskanen, one of the architects of Reaganomics, "Reagan delivered onRead More each of his four major policy objectives, although not to the extent that he and his supporters had hoped", and notes that the most substantial change was in the tax code, where the top marginal individual income tax rate fell from 70.1% to 28.4%, and there was a "major reversal in the tax treatment of business income", with effect of "reducing the tax bias among types of investment but increasing the average effective tax rate on new investment". Roger Porter, another architect of the program, acknowledges that the program was weakened by the many hands that changed the President's calculus, such as Congress.[2][21] President Reagan, has remained popular as an antitax hero despite raising taxes eleven times over the course of his presidency, all in the name of fiscal responsibility.[22] Reagan ultimately raised taxes more times than he cut them.[23] According to Paul Krugman, "Over all, the 1982 tax increase undid about a third of the 1981 cut; as a share of GDP, the increase was substantially larger than Mr. Clinton's 1993 tax increase."[10] According to historian and domestic policy adviser Bruce Bartlett, Reagan's tax increases over the course of his presidency took back half of the 1981 tax cut. Though since the Reagan tax reductions, top marginal tax rates have remained lower than at any point in US history since 1931, when the top marginal rate was raised from 25% to 63%. [24]

It's not the number of times that count, it's the size of the resulting cuts, and txes dropped underRead More Reagan, and economy boomed. Reagan's tax increases were part of a deal with Democrats to reduce spending. The taxes went up but the spending cuts never occurred. Just like Reagan's amnesty was supposed to be tied to border enforcement. Reagan's two biggest mistakes involved trusting Democrats to hold up their end of the deal. Those of us who remember that will never be fooled again.

They can put fruity/marshmallow flavors in vodka ( product that is KNOWN to kill people) but not inRead More e-cigarettes, a product that I believe saved my life? Sorry but you can pull my cappuccino flavor loaded vape pen from my cold dead lips.

Yes, it will affect recruitment. The young people who have tatoo's below elbows/knees have justRead More limited employment for themselves. While a mildly surprising decision by the Army ( who decided to take folks with misdemenors/felonys during Iraq War), it shows young people that they must conform to society, society will not conform to them. On the other hand, are they missing out by NOT enlisting? Maybe not. While the US Army was a good stepping stone for me, it was the worst job I ever had.

I sure hope the gov shuts down in Jan,2014! Most of you folks are utterly CLUELESS as to why itRead More happened at all. Research thr following: QE4. Is the "Federal Researve Bank" a privatly owned bank? (Yes). Fiat currency. The gov NEEDS to "shut down" untill they can STOP borrowing money.
John Palmer November 11, 2013 at 09:47 am
I hear you, Winston. However your recommendation would leave starving millions resorting toRead More whatever could be imagined. What we need to do is to stop voting using our hearts and start voting using our heads. I am sure those originally promoting Obamacare had good intentions of helping those less well off and, of course, obtaining cheaper health insurance for themselves. Now they see the people losing jobs and employer supported insurance going away and their own premiums increasing along with deductibles skyrocketing and they are beginning to become disenchanted with the whole idea. There are better ways to take care of those less well off than bankrupting Americans and America in the process.

Patch-Is this the best you can come up with for Strongsville news? Anyway, a bunch of economic dataRead More published by the US Commerce Dept suggests that the supposed shutdown, that affected what 20% or so of the govt had really little impact on the economy contrary to the President who did everything he could to make sure Americans suffered. Is that leadership Patch? How about a story on that?

The system will collapse. It is to bad we have such a party in office that continues to destroy us! It is horrible what this government is doing to people.
