The Strongsville Historical Society was established to preserve Strongsville's historical landmarks. The organizationMore owns and operates the Strongsville Historical Village, a re-created village made up of original buildings that were brought to the site. The buildings were built between 1822 and 1904.

Guided tours are offered for groups from the spring through the fall on certain days of the week. The price for adults is $5; for seniors, $4; and children, $2. Membership in the society is also available. The details can be found on the group's website. Board meetings are held every month in the Lathrop House in the village.

The Strongsville Historical Society gathered the names of Strongsville veterans, which are listed in the Freedom Trail gazebo.
