You picked it and I got to visit Strongsville’s favorite restaurant: Don’s Pomeroy House, 13664 Pearl Road. And what a visit it was. A yummy visit indeed! Don's Pomeroy House takes top honors in Patch contest
The people have spoken -- possibly with their mouths full of Fishmarket Salad and lobster tail -- and named Don's Pomeroy House their favorite restaurant in Strongsville. "Hands down my favorite place to eat," said Tina in her nomination. "You can count on two things -- the food will be great and so will the service." Other voters said Don's, located in a renovated historic house at 13664 Pearl Road, has a "terrific patio" and "excellent food." "(General Manager) Dan Stroemple and his staff go out of their way to make your meal enjoyable and relaxing," Ruth Brickley commented. Also receiving praise were Mad Cactus, Cleats, Italian Village and Shinto Japanese Steakhouse. A restaurant that hasn't even opened yet -- Michael Symon's B Spot -- …

Pro at Don's Pomeroy House offers some time-saving ideas
'Tis the season for hosting — and you may be anticipating spending too much time in the kitchen so your houseguests don't go hungry. But help is here. Todd Arnold, a nine-year veteran executive chef at Don's Pomeroy House in Strongsville, weighs in on some time-saving tips that can help you step away from your stove and spend more time with your guests. Tip 1: Cooking for a crowd. You have a house full of hungry people. How can you manage it all? Arnold says preparation is the key. "Being ready is the biggest thing.
