Strongsville Mustangs Too Much for Lakewood Rangers

Varsity, JV and freshmen all post wins in Friday night basketball action

Both Strongsville and Lakewood went into Friday night's Northeast Ohio Conference match-up at Strongsville High School trying to extend a winning streak. The Mustangs , hitting on all cylinders, got the job done, posting a 94-64 win over the Rangers and boosting their North Ohio Conference record to 2-1, 5-4 overall. Lakewood, meanwhile dropped to 0-4 in the conference and 3-6 overall. The Rangers, still trying for their first conference win, knocked off North Olmsted in a non-conference game Tuesday evening. The Rangers will be joining a smaller West Shore Conference beginning the 2012-13 campaign.  The Mustangs, after losing a heartbeaker to Medina by 2 points a week ago, rebounded two days later by beating St. Ignatius 70-68 in overtime…
