Clara I. Zahorcak "Kaye", 90, of Strongsville, passed away on Tuesday, March 26. Clara was the beloved wife of the late Paul; loving mother of Paul (Amy), Donna Reese (George), Carol Gibbons (Walter), and Kenneth (Jayne); devoted grandmother of Paul " P.J.", Kelly Bishop (Bill), Renee Scheck (Darren), Michael Reese (Brigid) and Allison; great-grandmother of Sandy, Fran, Gavin, Dylan and Maura; cherished sister of Dolores and the late Eleanor, Anne, Laverne, Elizabeth and brother, Edward, according to tributes.com. William Francis White, 55, of Strongsville, died March 7. White, a proud St. Ignatius alum, was a retired Cleveland police detective and worked as a regional representative for the Ohio Treasurer's Office according to the Jardine Funeral Home. White's funeral mass was held Wednesday at St. Joseph Church in Strongsville. Gasior passed away on Jan. 11 due to complications caused by an autoimmune disorder.
Joan Elenore Gasior, 89, Strongsville, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at Parma Community General Hospital, following complications from an autoimmune disorder. She was born March 20, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio to Anne and William Ferguson. She graduated from James Ford Rhodes High School in Cleveland and lived her entire life at residences along Pearl Road in Cleveland, Parma, Parma Heights and Strongsville, according to Busch Funeral and Crematory Services. Gasior was primarily a homemaker but also worked part-time at both Higbee's and Minnesota Fabrics. She was a long-time member of the Brooklyn Heights United Church of Christ, was active in the Women's Circle, worked in the nursery and regularly assisted at dinners and various functions…

Alva Grant Stone, an independent sales representative, owned ANS Sales and chaired the Brook Park Tax Review Board for more than 20 years. The Strongsville resident died Nov. 9, 2010, at age 80. He graduated from West Technical High School in 1949 and was inducted into the West Tech Alumni Association Hall of Fame in 2005. He attended night school classes at Baldwin-Wallace College, where he received a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1980. Stone, who had served as an U.S. Air Force topographer, volunteered with United Seamen's Service to welcome merchant sailors from foreign ships to Cleveland.
