She's waiting at Berea Animal Rescue
Bamboo is an 8-year-old black and white female cat whose personality is larger than life. She's named after a plant, and having a bamboo plant in your home is supposed to promote friendship and longevity of life. Having a Bamboo cat would do even more than that, right? She will definitely bring friendship, cuddles, happiness and harmony to the family that adopts her. Berea Animal Rescue is at 390 Barrett Rd., Berea, 44017.

He's waiting for a loving home at the Berea Animal Shelter
Meet Donovan! This handsome hound mix found his way to Berea ARF and is looking for a forever home. He arrived at the shelter as a stray so we do not know much about his history. But we already can see that Donovan is spirited and friendly to everyone he meets – including all people and dogs. He seems well adjusted and cared for, so we know he will make a great family pet. This boy is a true joy of a dog - energetic, funny, and spunky. His eyes follow you everywhere. Donovan is very attentive and watchful but he still loves to curl up after a hard day of performing all of his hound duties -- ball chasing, investigating and keeping squirrels out of your yard. He dreams of finding a home where he can feel safe, secure and, most of all, …

This shy guy desperately needs a home
Buggy is an extremely shy guy who does enjoy playing. He has seemed a bit intimidated by the whole shelter environment, but does well with other cats. Right now, Buggy is more independent and active rather than a lap cat, although that could change as he settles into a home, or he may always be one who’d rather play than snuggle, and needs his own space. If you’re looking for an adorable black cat who wants to play with you, Buggy may be the one! He just needs someone who is patient and will allow him to develop on his own. He is a very pretty boy and deserves a chance to know love and companionship. Visit Buggy at Berea Animal Rescue, 390 Barrett Rd., Berea.

She came to shelter as a stray
Meet Jazzie -- a young lab/spaniel mix to keep you company on walks, entertain you with a goofy grin and share your couch for a good movie. This beautiful girl loves everyone she meets – human and canine alike – and would love nothing more than to have a home to call her own. Around 7 months old, Jazzie is new to the Berea ARF shelter. Jazzie came to ARF as a stray and hoped that her family would come to get her. That was not to be, however, so now she is ready to find a loving forever home. Jazzie could use some work on her leash manners, but we understand that it’s hard to keep all of that puppy energy contained when there are so many new things to discover. Could yours be the family to make Jazzie’s dreams come true? If you would …

Laid-back lab/shepherd is at Berea Animal Shelter.
Meet Smokey -- a charming lab/shepherd mix who has found a second chance at Berea Animal Rescue. Now he’s looking for a forever home. This stunning boy is around 2 years old, but is surprisingly laid-back for a young dog. Things have not been easy for Smokey. He has been tied up outside by a chain his whole life and has never known the comforts a warm home or a soft bed to sleep in. And he is just starting to learn that people are OK and they will love him and keep him safe. And they might even bring him treats! As a result of his rough start in life, Smokey may need some help learning proper doggie manners and all the rules of living in a home, but he is sure to be a quick learner and the perfect canine companion, if someone will …
