Fans line up to meet former Browns quarterback at PNC party

Former Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar spent a few hours in Strongsville Friday evening, chatting with fans and signing autographs during a tailgate party thrown by PNC bank on Royalton Road. The affable Kosar autographed pictures, shirts, stuffed animals and footballs, spending several minutes chatting with each fan as if they were old friends. Hundreds showed up, waiting patiently in line for their chance to meet the Cleveland football legend. Did you take pictures at the party? Upload them here!

Here's what happened in Strongsville over the last few days

Some of the biggest stories in Strongsville this week: 1. Accidental call leads to investigation -- A man inadvertently calls North Royalton police when he sat on his phone, and what dispatchers heard prompted an investigation. 2. Reward offered in fire cases -- The police and fire departments are offering a reward up to $7,000 for information leading to catching the culprits who started fires on Collier Drive and Priem Road July 27.  3. Bernie Kosar Coming to Strongsville Sept. 7

Former Cleveland Browns quarterback will sign autographs at PNC Tailgate Party

Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar will be the special guest at PNC's Tailgate Party, which will run 1-7:30 p.m. Sept. 7 at the bank's branch at 17300 Royalton Rd. Kosar will meet fans from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Tailgate Party is free and open to the public. It will include free food and beverages -- from 1 to 4:30 p.m., guests can have hotdogs, hamburgers and chips; from 5-7:30 p.m., there will be free subs from DiBella's and chips. Activities for the family include a football toss, cornhole, plinko, a prize wheel and music. Browns mascot Chomps will be there from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. There will also be hourly drawings for tickets to the Browns' home opener.
