Dovilla Introduces Bill on Cybersecurity
State rep says it would protect state agencies and lead to new jobs
State Rep. Mike Dovilla (R-Berea) testified before the House Economic and Small Business Development Committee in support of House Bill 331, legislation he introduced to establish the Cybersecurity, Education and Economic Development Council. Dovilla, a U.S. Navy intelligence officer, introduced House Bill 331 in order to address the growing incidents of cybersecurity attacks on state agencies and private industry and to help generate new jobs in information technology. “The primary reason I ran for state representative was to be part of a team that would implement policies to restore a business-friendly environment and spur economic development and job creation,” Dovilla said. “If Ohio’s critical infrastructure is at risk, it could …
