Ohio Highway Patrol Arrests Hundreds on 'All Out Days'

Intensive 3-day action takes criminals off the roads

  The Ohio State Highway Patrol conducted “All Out Days” Nov. 8-10, sending all officers from all ranks out to patrol the roads to remove the criminal element. The initiative also aimed to reduce fatal and injury crashes. During that time, troopers made 119 drug arrests and 33 felony arrests, apprehended 67 wanted individuals and initiated 82 criminal cases. In addition, they arrested 281 impaired drivers. During one traffic stop in Ashtabula County on Nov. 9, troopers seized 36 pounds of hydroponic marijuana, worth an estimated $230,000. The driver, David Elliot, 63, of Lake Oswego, OR, was incarcerated in the Ashtabula County Jail and charged with trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana, both third-degree felonies.  Less …
