Get Go is Coming, and Here's Where It's Going
Giant Eagle seeks approval to build a gas station, convenience store, small cafe in Strongsville
Giant Eagle, which has promised to bring a GetGo to Strongsville, is seeking to build the gas station at the corner of Drake and Pearl roads. The GetGo would be situated on the site of a former service station there, but would also include vacant property to the north and east of the existing building. The entire parcel would be 2.61 acres, said Todd Waldo, a Giant Eagle representative. "The city has been absent a quality fuel station for many years, and we hope to fill that gap," Waldo said. City Council introduced legislation Tuesday to rezone the two parcels -- a total of 1.87 acres -- from General Business to Motorist Services to accommodate the Get Go gas pumps and convenience store.
