Richest, Poorest Neighborhoods in Strongsville
Surprise: Ledgewood is part of lowest-income area
Ledgewood, a still-pricy neighborhood that was once considered one of northeast Ohio's premiere subdivisions, now sits in the middle of Strongsville's poorest area, according to U.S. Census information. The information comes from a website called richblockspoorblocks.com, which offers median household income for each census tract, provided by the 2007-2011 American Community Survey. In the Ledgewood area, median household income is $32,715. Of course, also part of that tract are several apartment complexes, including Chestnut Lake and Cherry Tree off Whitney Road.
