Mitchell's Ice Cream Opens Today
New store is in food court at mall
Crews were putting the finishing touches on a new Mitchell's Homemade Ice Cream in the food court at Westfield SouthPark this morning for a grand opening today. The 2,800-square-foot store is the first mall location for the Cleveland-based Mitchell's, which operates ice cream parlors in Rocky River, Westlake, Solon and Beachwood. Co-owner Peter Mitchell, who owns the chain with his brother, Mike, told Stongsville Patch in September they had been looking for a Strongsville location for about two years before deciding on the mall. "SouthPark is such a vibrant mall," he said at the time. The Strongsville store will be larger than any of the existing Mitchell's parlors and will include seating for patrons.
