City to Draft Plan for Next 10 Years
A lot has changed since last update in 1996
The city will draft a new 10-year comprehensive plan that will show where Strongsville hopes to be a decade from now. City Council agreed Tuesday to pay Robert Hill $14,250 to update the last plan, which was ratified in 2001. Hill serves as the city's planner on a consulting basis. "There's a lot of land this is potentially going to impact," Ward 4 Councilman Scott Maloney said. In the plan, Hill promises to cover population and housing statistics from the 2010 U.S. Census, land use and transportation patterns, and come up with goals and objectives for 2021, including a map showing future land uses.
